What is coaching?

The best thing about coaching, in my humble opinion, is that it is unique to you.

Having a 1:1 coach, means that you have a space to bring the stuff you want to work on.

It's totally different to therapy, we won't work on your past, or on trauma, we focus on where you are now and where you'd like to go. (I will always say if I think therapy is a best first step.)

This could be focused on work, your home, career, or more usual, a blend of all of your life.

We start each session by checking in, how you feel on any given day is really important to your capacity to mentalise about where you're stuck and where you're going. I believe in a really holistic approach, so don't be surprised if I ask how you slept, and how your space is looking right now - it all feeds in to what you can achieve.

We might start small, with a strategy to make time for a calm cuppa in your morning, or we might start by looking at the business idea you have and next steps for finding your way. It

might be that you'd like to get your home in order before anything else, or find a way to be more active or eat differently. If you're feeling burnt out some simple self-care could be central. Or getting on top of work tasks might be your priority - we can trial lots of different tools to help you feel more in control and happy in your life.

If you're a parent you may want to work with me on some family systems that help you and your children thrive together. Thinking together about where the stress points are for you all and ideas you can try to make home and school easier to manage for everyone.

My aim, as your coach, is to cheer you on and help you find ways to be your best self. I will ask you how best to do this, whether you want a serious plan or daily memes, is your shout. Please get in touch to book a free, no-commitment discovery call to see if I'm the right fit for you.
